A part of PostNord Group, the Nordic postal services giant, PostNord Strålfors is connecting the dots in a digital world with smart communications solutions for businesses. As the largest distribution of invoices in the Nordic region, they wanted to streamline the payments process for consumers.

To achieve this goal, they’ve turned to Tink, who can help offer a key piece of the technology puzzle as their new open banking payments provider. By leveraging Tink’s payment initiation, they’ll be able to add a cutting edge payments solution to their Nordic omnichannel offering.

Transforming how invoices are paid

With the new partnership, Strålfors is looking to transform how invoices are paid and handled in the Nordics by providing a more seamless user experience.

This benefits consumers, who will be able to pay their bills in a quick and effortless manner, as well as the companies (or invoice senders) receiving the payments, who get a simpler and more cost efficient alternative.

‘We are very pleased with the new partnership with Tink, the leading player in open banking and A2A payments. Today, we handle hundreds of million invoices annually for our customers in the Nordic region. With open banking, we see it as a natural development of our offering to now also be able to offer our customers simple, compliant and user-friendly payment solutions integrated in our already existing channels’, says Mattias Norén, Head of Strategy and Business Development at PostNord Strålfors.

Seeing as this partnership will deliver our payments service to millions more people in the Nordics, we are confident this will truly cement open banking payments as the new standard for invoice settlement.

We are already at a tipping point for mass adoption of open banking payments across Europe, and this is the type of partnership that has the potential to usher in a new era for the industry.
